A Sign of Success: Laura Venetucci Opens Wall Township Pinot’s Palette

As Laura Venetucci whipped her car out of a parking space at a New Jersey shopping center, a sign caught her eye. That sign–an advertisement for upscale paint and sip franchise Pinot’s Palette®–became a sign that guided her next career move.

Laura had long considered entrepreneurship. She had looked up information on various franchise opportunities from time to time. But until seeing that sign, nothing had grabbed Laura’s attention like this. She researched the painting and wine franchise, put in an inquiry, and talked with the Pinot’s Palette headquarters team–all before she ever set foot in a studio.

“I fell in love with it. I liked the fact that when you come to a Pinot’s Palette studio, no matter who you are or what talent you have, you walk away with something — a good night out and a painting to take home. I thought it would speak to a lot of people,” Laura says.

Once Laura attended a few classes, she became even more enthusiastic about the Pinot’s Palette concept. “Each time, the paintings have come out pretty good,” she says. “I’m not an artist in the way that I can come up with my own ideas and paint them, but being able to follow along with an artist and create artwork kind of lets everybody become an artist, which is nice.”

Her enthusiasm for the concept propelled Laura to take the plunge. She opened up a Pinot’s Palette in Wall Township, New Jersey. Adding business ownership to her full-time job at a marketing company in addition to her role as mother of a six-year-old son and one-year-old daughter seems like a daunting prospect. But Laura juggles her responsibilities with graceful determination, enjoying creating a business in which her artistic son can participate.

In fact, Laura found the process of opening her studio (which recently celebrated its grand debut) easier than expected. “The process has been great,” she says. “It’s been easy to follow our road map from headquarters. They really provided a great foundation to get started.”

Laura maintained her enthusiasm even during studio renovations — her good attitude perhaps aided by her penchant for binge-watching HGTV renovation shows.

With her studio’s construction phase under control, Laura looked to her fellow Pinot’s Palette franchisees for help with other aspects of getting the business up and running. “I’ve appreciated how cool they are–everyone wants to help everyone. Having that network has been helpful because I go to them with questions and they’re immediately there to help.” she says.

The community has embraced the studio with excitement, and Laura looks forward to sharing the concept with people who aren’t familiar with Pinot’s Palette. “It’s another opportunity for an entertaining evening where you get to learn and experience something that you’ve never experienced before,” she says. “You’ll have something you’re proud of and had a really great time doing.”
